Cryopreservation
Professional cryopreservation, long-term storage and temperature-controlled shipping — ensuring your cell products arrive safely at their destination.
The Procedure
What is Cryopreservation?
Cryopreservation is a method for long-term storage of biological materials at ultra-cold temperatures — typically in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen at below −150 °C.
Through controlled freezing with optimized cryoprotectants, cells are brought to a state in which biological processes come to a complete standstill. This preserves the function and viability of the cells for years.
Our cryopreservation service covers the entire process chain: from controlled freezing through validated storage to temperature-controlled shipping to any location in the world.
